"Excellent treatment in the hands of caring staff."

About: Good Hope Hospital

What I liked

Referred by my GP and asked to present myself initiallty at A&E which I duly did. Only kept waiting around 20 minutes on arrival and then quickly through to see a doctor. Confirmation of diagnosis (initially made by GP) was swift, followed by an ultrasound scan/blood tests etc., and admission onto ward 7 where I spent the next four days.

I could not fault the hospital, its staff or processes in any way. At all times I was treated with respect and dignity and my views taken into account when decisions were being made. All of the nursing teams on ward 7 were excellent - exactly how nursing should be! I honestly could not fault them, also the care received when first arrived in A&E.

I have to go back for surgery and just hope that the excellent experience I have had so far isn't tainted by an extensive wait.

Thank you!

What could be improved

Nothing.

Anything else?

Just hope wait isn't too long for planned surgery
