This surgery is so poor in it's duty of care. (patient for over 20yrs)
After being unwell for over 5 days with no help, I ended up pleading with the receptionist and manager to get some help, only to be told they would get back to me that day!! After no contact, phoned again the next day and was told you will receive a phone call from a doctor at some point during that day. After waiting all day in pain got called by a doctor who said that i should come to the surgery asap and that she would arrange to sort the problem out there and then. Finally i thought i would get some help!! so i walked to the surgery in pain (20mins) only to be told once i got there that they had just called my landline to say that they could not help me!!! Asking why they changed there minds i was told 'Sorry there is nothing we can do for you' . After asking where i was to get help i was told to go to a clinic across town, so i then had a bus ride on top, another 40mins. (2hrs in total)
Finally got treated there over 4 days (Perfect caring nhs service) but very inconvenient as i don't have transport and work full time .
I was told by them that this should have been easily dealt with by a nurse at my surgery.
They were horrified about the way i had been pushed pillar to post.. They also said that this surgery was doing this on a regular basis and was being monitored....
"Pleaded with staff for help and was turned away..."
