"My Sons Broken Wrist"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Emergency Department University Hospital Wishaw / Trauma & orthopaedics

(as a service user),

My son had a bad break of his left wrist at his growth plate, he was seen relatively quickly by a physio named Alan for triage. Within 10 minutes of that consultation my son was in X-Ray, within 20 minutes of that a call had been made to the on-call Orthopod. My son was OUT of theatre within 4 hours of me arriving at Wishaw General Hospital. The staff at the hospital were absolutely fantastic, the standard of care and attention my son received was second to none. I would like to take the opportunity to thank all concerned, especially Alan and the On call Orthopod Omar!
