I presented to A&E with feared miscarriage as was bleeding and 7 weeks pregnant. Was seen quickly at triage and then waited an hour in the main waiting area which was fine. Then taken through by nurse, placed in small room by myself, temperature and pulse and blood pressure taken again then told to wait. After an hour, went to ask what was going on and was told that I had been 'moved through' by the system, but that they'd forgotten to move me physically and had probably been calling me and wondering where I was. I was given directions to get to the urgent care area and told to go there and let someone know what had happened. When I got there, there was no-one behind the desk so I tried to speak to a member of staff who was standing there and he pointed his finger at me to be quite and said 'no'. I then managed to find someone else, and explained what had happened. He told me to speak to a nurse who he pointed out to me. When I did she immediately understood who I was and went to tell someone else that I had arrived. I w as then taken through and seen promptly by the gp. She was expecting to see my bloods but it turned out they'd forgotten to take them too. She was nice and helpful and referred me for a scan. But being left alone for an hour in a room because the nurse had forgotten to move me while I thought I was having a miscarriage was not okay, nor was being chastised when I tried to speak to someone about it in the area where I was told to report.
