I was terribly let down by some staff on A&E and the mental health worker I saw.
Having taken an overdose due to having lost a parent, and being homeless. I expected more care and compassion.
I explained that there is already little support, staff, except two kind ladies who helped my family member only weeks ago before they passed away, were unsupportive and quite frankly rude.
They ignored me explaining that I was homeless, suicidal, and could be rejected by the charity as its for those with a fixed address.
Instead a taxi was called regardless, after threats of phoning the police were unfairly made despite me being non threatening.
There was a man shouting, and no such threats were made to him.
I didn't receive anything to eat or drink. And was given advice that I explained can't help me. This was all ignored.
The taxis manager was lied to, told I was going home, and that I was fine. I was desperately crying in the bathroom. After all that's happened, why wouldn't I be?
If it wasn't for the driver and Chorley Hospital, I would be hungry and cold right now.
I am shocked that my local hospital would do this to me, they saw me with my family member plenty of times and knew the situation.
Is this how poor mental health services are? Is this how little most staff care? I feel like better training is required.
I hope I never need life saving treatment there.
