Can’t make appointments in advance to see a gp but can for a nurse!!!

Being disabled & having chronic health issues it takes me considerable time & effort to prepare to go out which means I need a few days to do this. The current appointment system of phoning on the day now makes it all but impossible to see the gp.

Oh and don’t bother asking for a home visit as you wouldn’t even qualify, even with a broken ankle and nearly three weeks hospital stay as happened February/March 2017.

Thank you for taking the time to provide this feedback. I sincerely apologise for the inconvenience you have incurred. We recently have adjusted our appointment system and have increased our pre-bookable appointments with our Doctors which should give patients greater choice and book in advance. We are currently investing both in our phone systems and our people in the hope of improving our patient satisfaction. It is also worth considering registering to book appointments on line as this can spare the difficulties of trying to get through on the phones especially during busy period.
