"Eye surgery"

About: Circle Bath

I was under the Westbury Health Centre for cataracts and had my first eye (left) done and later the follow up post op appointment. I was given a date for my second eye (right) to be done. A follow up letter arrived to say I would have a different surgeon carrying out my op.

I then received a letter stating Westbury were no longer carrying out this type of surgery and would be referring me to the Circle Bath, I had to give authority for my records to be transferee which I agreed.

In a short time I received a phone call from the Circle giving me my appointment for consultation which I agreed and a letter arrived confirming this.

I arrived at the Circle Bath and was well impressed. I parked with ease and on entering the hospital I went straight to reception. There was three staff on and was seen promptly, a thorough check on who I was and agreed a photograph to be taken and was told exactly what area to go to and named the person who would call for me to be seen, I was also updated that the appointments were running a little late with the up-most apologise.

I found the staff very happy and chatty which made me feel so at ease and by this I mean reception, catering and the medical staff.

I was called for my appointment but amazingly no sign of running late, I was given once again a check on who I was and what I was there for. My consultation went well and I was given a estimated time for my next appointment to have the surgery.

I was seen on the Monday and by the

Wednesday my appointment was made, yet again very pleased with the organisation.

I arrived at the hospital 25/4/18 30 minutes early, went to reception and checked in and was told exactly where to go. I arrived at the department of day surgery went to reception to confirm I had arrived. This was a very busy day in this area and I was shown to a waiting area and was told I would be called for, not long to wait and a member of staff came for me.

My wife was told to come with me to the area where I was going to be assessed before surgery. She was also very well looked after, she was involved in everything what was going to happen and was offered tea/coffee, which was very appreciated.

All medical staff introduced them selves I am not one for names but remember faces and I feel privileged that I had such caring lovely people looking after me.

Operation went well and the after care was second to none, instructions on what to do with medication and what to expect, how to contact the Circle if I was not happy with my condition or experienced any problems.

My wife and I will have no problems if we ever have to go to the Circle Bath for treatment be it NHS or private. This is an amazing place with such dedicated staff.
