"Excellent. The people who did my x-ray are a..."

About: Queen Elizabeth I I Hospital (Welwyn Garden City)

What I liked

Appointment was on time.

I made staff aware that I was very nervous. Throughout the entire process the lady nurse and the gentleman who operated the x-ray equipment were friendly, kind and attentive. They kept me aware of what to expect and what was happening at every point. They also kept me entertained and distracted with amusing banter. A fine double act.

The kindness and professionalism of these two people made a scary and uncomfortable process tolerable. If I had to have the investigation again I would be much less nervous thanks to them.

What could be improved

I have no complaints at all.

Anything else?

Attended Radiology for barium enema x-ray. Referred by my consultant at Lister, Stevenage. Examination was part of ongoing investigation into digestive/bowel issues.

Appointment was on 16th August 2011. Due to my nervousness I did not remember the names of the nurse and radiographer who carried out my examination. If it is possible to work out who they were, I would be grateful if my sincere thanks could be passed on.

NHS is great and deserves all the support it can get.

Many thanks for your feedback, which we will make sure reaches the radiology team in question, as requested. In the meantime, we hope that your on-going treatment proves to be equally effective.
