"Long waiting times for appointments"

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Urology

(as the patient),

I am currently under urology department after having complications from a surgical mesh implant used to treat SUI. I had an initial consultation at the end of 2017, and had an MRI scan before the end of the year as requested by the consultant. Since then I have been waiting for my return appointment. I have telephone several times and also my GP has contacted the department, only to be told that the waiting list is exceptionally long. However, expecting a patient to wait in excess of 6 months for a return appointment is unacceptable. Who is to blame?
