"Brilliant care"

About: Blackpool Victoria Hospital / Breast surgery

Having been diagnosed with breast cancer last November I am in total awe of the treatment I have received since then. The breast care unit, Macmillan unit and breast surgery unit have all been outstanding. Although I needed radiotherapy at Preston the whole procedure was seamless. I have been treated with dignity and respect at every stage of my treatment. Nothing has been too much trouble for the medical teams involved in my care and the treatment I have received has been second to none.

Thank you all from the bottom of my heart

Good Afternoon,

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience or your treatment and diagnosis of breast cancer here at Blackpool Teaching Hospitals. It must have been a very difficult time for you and it is fantastic to read that the breast care unit, Macmillan Unit and the breast surgery Unit have all been outstanding with you during this time.

It is also brilliant to read that you felt that you have been treated with dignity and respect at every stage of your treatment. I will share your feedback with all of the teams involved so that they can see the impact that they have had on you during this time.

If you would like to take part in the Patient Stories Programme I would love to hear from you: Leanne.macefield@bfwhospitals.nhs.uk
