"Very good quality of care and exceptional A & E..."

What I liked

I was particularly impressed with the care in the Accident and Emergency Department where my elderly mother was admitted after a fall. The environment was very caring and considerate to my

mother's needs. Her treatment was exceptional from the care from the paramedic team in the ambulance, nurses, doctors and other support staff in the A & E.

Also when I was visiting the hospital the colour zones were very useful for finding my way around. I was struck by how helpful members of staff were if I hesitated, a member of staff would always be there to ask if I needed any help.

What could be improved

My mother's care in the ward at night was a bit irratic. She was left unattended for some time.

Anything else?

In my experience, the hospital has made a lot of improvements since changing from May Dayc to Croydon University Hospital.
