"Knowsley wellcroft cahms service"

About: North West Boroughs Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust Wellcroft Centre / CAMHS (Knowsley

(as a carer),

My daughter whom has learning difficulties and has been identified as having ASD by pedatriatrician was referred to speech therapy and ASD pathway. After seeing speech therapist she said my daughter has extremely high anxiety levels and advised to have her referred to CAHMS. I waited 12 months to get appointment then finally got one. I took daughter to appointment and she was taken into room for ten minutes then I was asked into room. They only asked me a couple of questions about her anxiety and whom recommended her referal so I told them speech therapist. My daughter also told them of suicidal thoughts she had in past. When leaving daughter admitted to me she didn't understand alot of the questions probably due to her learning difficulties. I later received phone call from CAHMS stating they would not offer their service as child does not meet their criteria. I am now confused as speech therapist said she does need help and CAHMS refuse. I do not know what to do as I see daughter struggle on daily basis.
