"Impressed by my recent experience of the triage..."

As a result of an ongoing medical condition deteriorating, I needed to contact the surgery to arrange what I felt was a fairly urgent appointment. I contacted the Surgery by phone at 8.30 and a Receptionist asked what was the basis of my request. When I explained, they said I would be included as part of the triage procedure at the centre. I was a little anxious about this but need not have been. I was told that someone would phone me back not later than 1.00pm. In the event I received a call back within about 15 minutes from a Doctor who asked for a little more information and then gave me an appointment for 10.30 the same day.

The appointment was about ten minutes late but the Practice was clearly very busy. I was then seen by a locum Doctor. I only regret that I cannot mention names, as this Doctor could not have been more helpful, professional supportive or skilled. My examination was conducted very thoroughly and a course of treatment and medication outlined and prescribed which I hope will resolve my problems. The Doctors whole approach was very caring and supportive and I left feeling very re-assured.

In conclusion the appointment and indeed the whole experience I have had today could not have been better, while locum Doctor I...... is a real credit to their professionalism and to the Centre itself. If they are ever appointed permanently to the Centre, they would be a real asset to the Community. Thank You.
