"30 min wait for a 5 min check"

About: North Devon District Hospital

I was booked an appointment for 1545 (in the fracture clinic) but wasn't seen till 1627, all for a doctor to put a plaster on my thumb, but in all honesty my 6 year old could of done a better job then that doctor, I'm sorry to say.

the time before that, it was a quick in and out, but on this occasion, I waited over half-an-hour for something I have had already been doing at home... cleaning it and replacing my plasters.. I get that it was a busy time, but I made my boss wait over half-an-hour I'd be in trouble...

Dear Patient

Thank you for sharing your experience and I am sorry that you had to wait over half an hour to be seen in the Fracture Clinic.

If you would like your concerns regarding the dressing on your thumb to be addressed, you can either contact the Patient Advice & Liaison Service (PALS) at the North Devon District Hospital (NDDH) on telephone number 01271 314090 or e-mail at ndht.pals@nhs.net

Kind regards

Jayne
