After a fall at home I visited New Cross Emergency Dept. After a short wait I was examined , x rayed, consultant reviewed with plan and given a cast for my broken elbow. Everyone was friendly, reassuring and efficient.Next day I had surgery and remained overnight on A6. Again from the initial arrival on the ward before surgery to overnight care and eventual discharge. I was impressed by the care and professionalism shown along with a friendly attitude. Difficulties on such a busy ward with lots of patients needing multi-care including some with dementia care must cause extra stress for everyone working there. Have great respect for the staff have come across and wish them well. New Cross hospital is a prestigious establishment.
