"Worst a and e department ever"

About: Royal Hampshire County Hospital / Accident and emergency

I was taken here by ambulance after passing out in the street through an on going heart condition. I was left in the waiting room buckled over in pain and asked for pain relief numerous times without any joy. I was then taken for an ecg, I was shown the ecg and was told there was nothing wrong. I am a qualified paramedic and looking at the ecg I commented on the the irregularities and was told by the nurse it was fine because my blood tests had come back all ok. It was at that point I reminded them that they hadn't taken any blood from me to test. At this point I felt that my needs weren't being cared for and was generally concerned about my safety so I discharged myself and made my way to Southampton General.
