Visited with my child as a 111 operator booked an out of hours appointment due to my child having severe stomach pain for over 3 days. She had vomited two days ago due to the pain. Whilst waiting to be seen a female receptionist said at the top of her voice "she shouldn't be here after she's been sick, that's how we will catch it, she should stay in bed, sip water and wait it out" another patient came and again receptionist said "have you been sick? You need a bowl" and then got the other receptionist to take the lady a bowl. Not what your ill, frightened child wants to hear. On the other hand the doctor we saw was brilliant, couldn't have asked for a nicer person to see my child. After my child was asked to provide a urine sample we found there was no soap in loo and light was very dull so hard to see in there
"lovely doctor. rude receptionist"
