It is my pleasure to write to thank your staff for their assistance while I was on holiday at The Manor House Hotel.
in March, my wife and I had booked a week’s holiday at The Manor House, Okehampton.
Prior to travelling, my own Doctor had prescribed a course of antibiotics for a suspected chest infection, however my condition worsened during the week.
On Wednesday the 21st March, my wife rang your surgery to try to see a Doctor, but we were apprehensive as we were not registered patients. However, our concerns were totally unfounded as from our very first contact with your receptionist by phone, we were treated with friendliness, professionalism and warmth by everyone.
We arrived for the morning appointment, were greeted with a smile by your receptionist and I was seen by a Specialist Minor Injury Nurse. She showed great concern for my condition, was exceedingly thorough , and put me at my ease completely .
She was concerned enough to recommend I see a Doctor and in a short time I saw the doctor. He was also very friendly, and thorough and prescribed stronger antibiotics. My condition soon began to improve and I was able to start enjoying the remainder of my holiday.
Everyone with whom we came in contact that day was friendly and professional, which was so very important as I was feeling quite ill and apprehensive.
We just wanted to let you know how much we appreciated the service and to congratulate you on a very efficient NHS Practice.
