"Finally some continuity of CARE :)"

Having had a terrible year so far and had to change GPs three times because of prescribing issues (I have complex genetic health problems and kept being left without my pain medication leaving me very unwell and suffering), I was understandably concerned about yet another doctors.

I can honestly say though, from the polite and understanding reception staff, the Nurse Prescriber who I saw the same day as an emergency and my own GP who was so patient today and went through so much history with me and demonstrated a degree of trust I have found impossible at each of the others, I am so pleased and impressed. I would not hesitate to recommend the practice to anyone.

One doctor I have to mention especially, has been beyond what I consider regular duties to learn about all my conditions and history and was so caring today. I didn’t ring the surgery until around four pm and he said come down as soon as you are ready, and I was seen almost immediately. He gave the impression he had all the time in the world for me which I am quite sure was not the case, but made me feel like a person not just a number to be dealt with in the ten minute allotted time slot when previous doctors have so often said to me “we can only deal with one problem per appointment” (I would love to only have one problem, at the last count on filling out DWP forms I had 26 conditions!)

He has also said to ask for him especially. Again this is such a relief salscit is so hard to start over with different drs every time. And try and justify why I am on the strengths of medicines I take every time. Sometimes the battle gets just too much.

I just want to say a huge thank you. It is a significant relief to feel I have a doctors that I can actually ring now. Knowing that they understand me and am not labelled something I am not.
