I was admitted at the start of the week with a suspected ectopic pregnancy and this would be my 2nd ectopic. I waited 4 hours to be seen but when I was seen the consultants were fab and talked to me throughout all the examinations. I had repeat bloods done and told someone would call me with the results and then they would decide on the best course of action. No phone call was recieved so I called that evening to be told the consultant is too busy and to call the EPU in the morning. I've been calling this morning since 8am to be passed around each department being told to go back to the original number I called. Each person being ruder than the person before them. I asked to speak to my consultants sec and told no they won't help me. The last lady I spoke to told me that the epu is a busy department which I understand and to call back after 12! My GP has agreed that someone should be giving me the results of the blood test and not ask me to call later as they suspect I'm having my 2nd ectopic pregnancy. My only option now is to go and sit in A&E and hope to be seen. This is honestly the worst experience I've ever had here. No sympathy or help at all from the staff. No guidance on what to do or how to proceed next. Let's hope this isn't an ectopic pregnancy that has or could rupture.
"Great consultants however the rest not so great"
