I have had a chest infection for the last 3 weeks and after being seen initially by an out of hours doctor at the hospital, I was then seen at Westgate Medical Center. Although booking an appointment by telephone was long winded when I did get through I was given a telephone appointment that day and after speaking to the doctor was told to see him that afternoon. He dealt with the illness very well and later when I hadn't improved I got an appointment easily by going to the surgery at 8am. Again the illness was taken seriously and professionally.He told me to return if I didn't feel better. Again when I wanted to do this I went to the surgery at 8am and was seen at 8.30 by another doctor who was fantastic. He sorted out the next step of my recovery, explained everything very clearly and got hold of my X rays from the hospital. I cannot fault the practice apart from the first attempt at trying to book over the phone.
