I came in for a day case for carpal tunnel operation in Feb 2018. After the op i spent 4 hours in recovery due to lots of pain & waiting for a bed on Alstone ward.
When i got on the ward i was still in a lot of pain so was kept in overnight, all the nurses looking after me were very good at making me feel at ease & that i was in safe hands.
The next day i was still getting a lot of pain so i was kept in for a second night & all the nurses went out there way to make sure i was comfortable & nothing was to much trouble for them.
In April 2018 i came in for a day case to have the same operation on my other hand. After the op in was moved to Alstone ward & i kept going very giddy & feeling sick so was kept in overnight again. This continued all night & the next day so i was kept in for a second night. All the nurses looking after me went out there way to make sure i was alright .
If i ever have to into hospital again i would ask if i could be put on Alstone Ward due to the very high class of care that i had from all the nurses over both these, it felt like i had known them for years.
Thank you very much to all wonderful nurses on Alstone Ward for taking good care of me.
