"Bad outpatient care"

About: Manor Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

Went to fracture clinic after a accident abroad and the doctor I saw wasn't very nice at all. He wasn't very pleased that I didn't have my x rays with me from abroad, as they didn't give them to me and I didn't know I needed them. . When I had new one done he quickly looked at the knee x ray said that was fine and couldn't see my ankle ones. He sent me to plaster room and said we will see and we went off to look at ankle x rays somewhere. On his return he said he could see anything, pressed my ankle and asked if it hurt and I jumped and said yes, he started laughing and said ok, ok. "It just a bad sprain", we will put it in a cast and see you in 3 wks. He asked me a couple of question because the nurse told him I had to be assessed first for a cast. Then he went. I did get chance to ask him any questions as it was 1 o'clock when I came back from x ray and I thought he just want to go for lunch. So had no treatment for my knee. I had to come back to hospital on the following Monday and a lovely doctor told me I HAD a fracture in my ankle. I know the name of both the doctors and I won't be seeing the one in fracture clinic again he is so rude.
