About: Ealing IAPT

I was given the IAPT number from my gp I have tried to call many times at 13.00 o'clock (well within the times there is apparently staff) each time I have waited on hold and told I'm in a queue and then eventually get through to an answer machine it seems very ironic that IAPT is where your supposed to be able to turn to when you need to speak about your problems and yet you can't even get through to a real person to refer yourself. I personally really struggle (anxiety) to call up companies or organsations it took me weeks to finally feel so low that I knew I had to call to get help and I must say it's left me feeling worse.

Dear 'Pointless

I am very sorry to hear the difficulties you have experienced trying to contact us on our self referral line, especially as you mentioned it is a real struggle to telephone organisations and companies.

We have staff covering this line from 09.00-4.30pm Mondays to Fridays, calls will automatically be diverted to our answer machine when this line is in use. Our answer machine is checked regularly throughout day and any messages left are followed up. We also have a website www.ealingiaptnhs.uk where you can also self refer to our service.

If you would like to discuss this matter further, please feel free to contact me on 07944435999 and I will follow this up
