"Ultrasound"

About: Epsom Hospital

After suffering with gynaecology problems for 14 years I was anxious about having my ultrasound. When I went into the room the lady asked questions about my medical health and where scars were from which I found quite a personal question but I thought maybe she has to asked to get an idea of my health (althogh I have never been asked before). She told told me that I had drunk too much water but I hadn't I was told to fast for 6 hours and drink 1 litre of water which I did. After my scan she rudely told me that's it you can go without even looking away from her computer screen. I asked did you see anything again without even turning her head she yes she told me what she saw which was very worrying for me.I was told I will write my description in my report you'll get it in 1 week time all the time not even looking at me to communicate just starting at her screen and her manner was rude . It was obvious how worried, anxious and upset I was not at any point did this lady try to reassure me or help me she would not even look at me she just sat stairing at her computer screen. This lady was heartless very unprofessional. When I got home I was upset and tearful. I understand she wasn't medically trained to tell me what's wrong but what I was told was distressing and I was treated rudely and with no respect.i think she needs to be re trained on how to deal with patients. Also when I asked is this bad I was told can't see enough well why did she not do an internal Utrasound I've had enough scans to know that when it's hard to see I have an internal one.
