"Day Surgery on Friday the 13th"

This appointment was not for the superstitious booked into surgery on friday the 13th. Despite the unfortunate date however the experience could not have been better. The staff team on the day surgery unit were well organized, efficient, and still found time to offer the best care. The surgery itself went very well, with the surgical team doing an excellent job even putting up with me being awkward having headphones during the procedure under local anesthetic. The entire experience was first class, right from the pre op assessment, to speaking to the consultants secretaries right up until the day itself. The surgery was a complete success, with no complications, and the team doing such a quality job that I've found myself not needing any painkillers, despite being swollen and bruised. Once again I can't think the team enough for the care provided to both me and my wife who was understandably concerned throughout the day. Would recommend to anybody. It's staff like this that make our NHS the best health service amongst the best in the world.
