Admitted recently. Paramedics were brilliant then it went down hilll.
Staff seemed to lack interest in me and seemed bored by my situation. Was then left in severe pain for a substantial amount of time. While I appreciate that tests needed to be sent off, I do not find it easy to excuse somebody being completely abandoned and in pain with no one checking in on them and just walking by and looking.
The doctor administered medication and then was prepared to send me home. She was rude and dismissive. I tried to discuss concerns I had and she, making it very clear I was an inconvenience, said she would contact maternity. I was then transferred over to them and bearing in mind they felt it necessary to administer further medication and observe overnight monitoring, it became very clear that the A&E’s doctor’s decision to send me home would not have been appropriate. My recovery is a result of maternity services. Not A&E.
"Awful!"
