I was admitted as an emergency after having at least two heart attacks. I firstly stayed on the CDU ward, where 'processing' begins. I felt from that moment on that I was in good hands. I was transferred to Ward 28, which is a medical ward, for observations, X rays and Angiogram. It was decided that my best option was to have CABG surgery, or bypass surgery. Unfortunately, this coincided with a Bank Holiday, so it was over two weeks before my operation. However, I think this gave me time to rest, and my body to prepare for what is very major surgery. I am now at day 4 from the operation, and in a very weak condition.
I can't thank the wonderful staff enough. I have been treated with kindness and dignity thw whole time.
"Double bypass success."
