"NEVER AGAIN!!! DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY"

About: Spire Roding Hospital

My partner found a lump in his testicle. I rang his GP surgery each day from 8 in the morning but couldnt get through. He even went down and spk to a receptionist only to be told to ring in the morning. I was 18th in the queue by 8.10 am. I hung on until 10 am and subsequently got cut off. So decided it was best if we paid privately for a check up. I got an appt with the Rodings and we went along within a couple of days. The lump was a cyst so that was great news but the doctor said his prostrate was enlarged and he needed a scan. They also gave us a urine sample bottle and blood test forms to bring back with us. The sample bottle had somebody elses name on it...and the blood tests forms were also in another name. We returned with the sample etc and he needed to have a full bladder for scan. He was taken for blood tests then had to do a urine test. Then when we got into the scanning dept they asked if his bladder was full??? Well no it wasnt as he'd done a urine sample!! He had to drink 15 cups of water before the scan could go ahead. His bladder wasnt full enough so we had to come back home. No appointment could be made for the following week as the doctor was away. So we returned after that...had the scan and it was all fine thankfully. We went private as we thought it would be a quick process. This wasnt the case at all. It was slapdash from start to finish. I asked to see the Duty Manager but he couldnt be found and was promised he would call me that day or by the morning. NEVER HEARD ANYTHING SINCE. Absoutely shocking experience. From the wrong name on the blood test forms/specimen bottle...to the being taken for bloods/urine test before the scan was done. No communication whatsoever. And we are paying for this out of our savings.
