"Continual appointment changes"

About: Southampton General Hospital / Ophthalmology

For the last three months at least I seem to receive appointment change letters on a weekly basis. Despite writing in July explaining that appointments during the peak holiday season are difficult for me, that continual appointment change causes disruption in my workplace and anger from my boss, that the late running of the clinics has forced me in the past to use a whole days annual leave for a 10 minute appointment. Therefore mid day appointments prove difficult as if I then need to take more time off due to this late running work that has been scheduled in for me can't be completed.

In these times of high unemployment I don't need these problems in the workplace.

What do I receive, appointments rescheduled for August, appointments at a place which forces a 30 mile trip for a 10 minute test, just total disregard for my letter.

The question is also begged by this continual late running clinic is why the doctors always seem to arrive an hour late, then I feel they have rushed me through. I have a health problem which requires continual check ups but I have less and less confidence in the service.
