I was driven to SAU having been told by a GP that she had spoken with a surgical registrar about my ongoing problems following surgery on March 20th I was told that they were expecting me and I was to be admitted in order to get seen by the urologist or a member of the urology team this morning, after a long wait which was expected I was seen by a doctor who told me seeing a urologist was not necessary even though I have the most horrendous infection,no blood tests or swabs were done and I was given a prescription for antibiotics and told to go home even though I’ve been taking a prescribed course for a week, I’m in my 80th year and in the last 8 months I have had a triple heart bypass,a radical nephrectomy and 3 weeks ago prostate surgery which has caused no end of problems yet I was sent home last night despite the efforts of a GP who did her very best to get me the help I so badly need,I have lost so much weight that my wife says I’m fading away in front of her eyes and absolutely nothing is being done to help except the promise of appointments being chased up .
