"My recent visit to the Day Surgery Unit..."

Last Saturday I attended the Plastic Surgery Department to have a small Basal Cell Carcinoma removed from my left cheek and wish to thank all the nursing staff and surgeon for their wonderful care, attention and treatment. Today is day 4 and I'm pleased to say the scar is healing well. I especially thank the Surgeon who took great care to make the incision 'in line' with the smile crease line of my cheek so it will not be noticeable in the future.

I was lucky enough to have been offered a cancellation appointment and liaise with the Charge Nurse by telephone to avoid any waiting time. As I entered the Day Surgery a nurse greeted me immediately.

I have had other procedures carried out over over the past years in this unit as well as the main hospital and cannot praise the staff, doctors, nurses and surgeons enough.
