"Terrible"

Got referred to the Sutherland centre after my GP decided to stop prescribing me quetiapine. Doctor asked me the same questions they always ask me, clearly had never even read anything about me. Kept calling me by the wrong name even though I kept telling him what my name was!! Prescribed me some medication and then told me that my GP would continue to prescribe it for me. GP hasn’t heard from them since and isn’t happy about prescribing them - said they never even heard from the Sutherland centre! Doctor didn’t seem interested or concerned about my issue, told me to meditate and that would help. Since when has meditating helped borderline personality disorder? VERY disappointed.

We appreciate you taking the time to add your comments, I am sorry that you are disappointed in your experience at the Sutherland Centre.

The Community Mental Health Teams have clear protocols and procedures in place around communication.

We would like to address the concerns that you have raised through NHS Choices as I am very disappointed that for you we appear to have fallen below our expected standards and would be grateful if you could contact the Centre Manager Emma Kempson on 03001231162 who would be very happy to hear from you.
