My son was admitted to a&e with breathing difficulties. He was seen by the paediatric a&e team. From the moment we were admitted we felt well cared for and supported. It was a busy night in a&e, but we were just happy to be in a place where immediate help was available. We have been asking our GP surgery for help with our sons breathing difficulties, but have not had much support, so to be surrounded by a team of doctors, nurses and consultants was very comforting for us both.
We were admitted to CAU in the early hours of the morning, and the team there were very caring and supportive towards my son and I. They were able to witness what happens to my son when he falls to sleep, and stops breathing, and made more suggestions and gave more advice in the few hours we were there, than what I’ve been asking for over the past twelve months. The staff were very attentive and made my sons experience of being in hospital a positive one.
I hope that the next steps for him will be as positive. Thank you CAU
