You can never get an appointment at this surgery, the staff behind the scenes/admin are rude disrespectful, unhelpful, I had to detect and diagnose my own hernia (the same one) three times and after complaining I was referred to the hospital.

Too many issues to to list.

I am sorry that you are unhappy with the service you received at Hillfoot, and as the Practice Manager I would like to take the opportunity to respond to the Points raised. As your submission is anonymous I am only able to make general comments, but if you want your specific issues investigated, could I ask that you forward your complaint in writing to me at the surgery and I will respond in more detail.

With regard to appointments, on an average week we offer approximately 600 GP appointments and 300 nurse appointments, in addition to running 3 physiotherapy sessions. The appointments are a mix of pre bookable and urgent on the day. If a patient rings with an urgent medical condition they will always be triaged by the on call GP, who will then either invite them in for an appointment or will manage the problem via a telephone call. Our staff work very hard to accomodate patients in the best way possible, and try at all times to be helpful. If you dont feel that this was the case in your experience, I would like to apologise on behalf of the Practice, but again I would be interested in understanding the specific details of you complaint in order that it can be fully investigated. I hope the management of your hernia is will in hand.
