Ny husband was lucky enough to receive a donor kidney recently. The care he received at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital renal unit was second to none. It was very pleasing to receive such care from professional medical and nursing staff in the NHS. Everyone was very nice .
It is just a pity that on the day he was discharged, he waited over 9 hours for medication before he could actually go home. I was disgusted, angry and totally helpless. There is no way to move that process on. I have made a complaint and have also written to the health secretary for Scotland. Isn’t it about time this ridiculous practice was fixed?
