"Maternity"

About: Newham General Hospital / Maternity care

I was admitted on Wednesday to be induced as the pessary didn’t do anything on Tuesday when I was induced as I was over 41 weeks I was told on Thursday that I needed to be induced twice more it was very painful and sore midwifes not very gentle or understanding i was getting painful contractions but I wasn’t dilating I finally saw a doctor who said I could be induced again which would probably not work I was told I would have c section on Friday I went to the delivery suite at 4.40pm and I am still waiting 24 hours later to have c section as emergencies keep coming in no one seems to care that I have no sleep for 4 nights and nil my mouth

I keep

waiting for my section and every time I am told you are top of the list for non-emergency I am traumatised at the bad experience of lack of care for myself and my unborn child and am just left to wait for days it seems whilst still getting painful contractions.

I am 23 a first time mum and would never come to this hospital ever again if I ever were to become pregnant again which I doubt as it’s been such a bad experience.
