Received the procedureat the end of March and was fitted with a catheter [which I was dreading more than the procedure itself]From the minute I was welcomed at reception until I was discharged later the same day, I could not have asked for better care and respect .My family were kept updated on my progress as although they were advised it would be later in the afternoon before I would be discharged they decided to wait.
When I returned to have my catheter removed, the male nurse Alan put me at my ease straight away and the removal was relatively painless. Although the department was short staffed this did not retract from the care and encouragement he gave me .
