I have just recently returned having had my left knee totally replaced on 29 March 2018 also I had my right knee replaced on 14 Dec 2017.
I attended the Inpatient ward , CMTC Halton Hospital WA7 2DA
I cannot praise too highly the total treatment I received on both occasions. Everyone involved was extremely pleasant and nothing was too much trouble, it made me ask one of the staff if you could only get a job there if you smiled all the time. They communicated all the time and they made it as easy as possible to get through the major surgery.
The Ward Sister runs an excellent ward and can feel proud of her achievements. My main nurse I have to say went the extra mile would be an under statement . Having written this , all the other staff were excellent.
My final comment is about the consultant,I could not be more delighted . The first operation was so good that i feel I can look forward to possibly running and cycling again . and possibly being competitive again. If the second recovers as well , there no reasons that it will not , then my dreams of walking mountains and getting back into sport will be realised. At the start of my treatment I needed two new knees and I now have these and also my legs are now straight and not bowed. What a great bonus !
A great big thank to everyone involved with my treatment, you can feel proud of the job you are doing and that you are really appreciated
