I've been receiving services from LPFT since 1970s. I helped set up the diabetes nurses. I'm resident at the Peter Hodgkin centre. I'm pretty happy with the service I get and get on with the staff, they do help you.
Even one of the porters is hugely helpful - he helps with everything. The help I get now is much better than back in the 1970's when I first got help. I'm not sure about how people have contact with families, you have to ask special permission I think.
