"A&E department"

About: Stepping Hill Hospital / Emergency Department

My son was taken by ambulance to a&e at Stepping Hill on Wednesday 28 March following an overdose of paracetamol. The care and attention he received was fantastic and I cannot fault the staff in any way, the doctor who saw him stayed in contact throughout and kept us informed throughout and was incredibly caring, compassionate and professional. The staff in that department are incredibly busy, and just watching them was exhausting. The doctor we saw was on her 7th day of working and was looking forward to 1 day off to have a good sleep. We saw the RAID team 11 hours after we arrived, their service was in incredibly high demand which is sad in itself. It is more staff and better facilities that this department needs, not criticism.

Your feedback captures just how hard the ED team work and how much they mean to the patients and families who need them. There are so many extremely dedicated staff and your comments will mean a lot to them, thank you.
