"I cannot praise the paramedics highly enough"

About: Scottish Ambulance Service

(as a relative),

My partner was unwell on Sunday evening and the out of hours doctor attended.

The doctor decided my partner ought to be admitted to Raigmore. The ambulance arrived promptly. I cannot praise the paramedics highly enough. They were kind, attentive and patient. Their professional attitude gave me great confidence in what was potentially a life threatening situation. (My partner may have had a myocardial infarction.)

I went in the ambulance with him and the paramedic talked to us all the time during the journey whilst she was monitoring his condition. Their excellent care and attention continued until we were handed over to the ward. As an ex-health professional myself I understand how difficult it can be to maintain consistently high standards of care to patients. This team absolutely met these high standards 100% and I want to share our good experience with your organisation and NHS Highland.

Thank you, gratefulpartner, for this really positive feedback on the professionalism of the ambulance crew who responded to your partner's medical crisis. This must have been very worrying for you both, and I'm delighted that you took the time to feed back on the high standard of care provided by the Scottish Ambulance Service.
