I recently had to be referred to the Oncology Dept for urgent Diagnosis due to my previous Oncology History.
From day one the way I was met in Terminal 39 for initial scans and examination I was was treated with the upmost courtesy and care following that visit I was also referred to Pontefract Hospital for Ct Scans on my bladder and Kidneys and then given a new appointment for Surgery.
The appointment was for Terminal 40 where I was prepared for invasive surgery in the bladder and the Prostate , again the care and courtesy given was amazing from the reception Nurse to the Surgeon,Oncologist, Anesthetists and my appointed Theater Nurse. At all stages of this extremely worrying visit I was updated with results from the CT Scan and the procedure which was now to be carried out was explained to me in detail
After the Operations the Theater Nurse escorted me to Recovery and stayed with me until I was found both a Ward (34) and a Room (16 )
The Nursing Staff on this ward ( and no doubt other wards ) where amazing and made sure I was settled and well looked after
I was in the Ward for 3 days in total and at every stage nothing was to much trouble for the Nursing Staff and affiliated Staff
I hope that all the Staff who helped me go through the procedures and after care are advised of this review
Many Many Thanks to you ALL
