"Early pregnancy unit"

I would like to thank the staff at the hospital for their support through a recent miscarriage. I was able to contact the early pregnancy department when I had a concern and was offered a booked appointment to attend. When we arrived for our appointment we were advised that the clinic was running late (as this is an emergency department I had no issues with this - as cases need to be dealt with in order of severity).

When we had our appointment the staff member we saw was amazing - at what was a very anxious time for both of us she put us at ease and had a great manner - she explained everything in detail. She contacted the relevant departments to postpone pre-booked scans etc, something less for us to worry about. She booked our next appointment and apologised it wouldn't be with her that day. Advised us over what might happen next and what would happen at our next appointment.

On out second visit we arrived - we were again advised there might be a slight delay in our appointment (due to the snow and staff struggling to get into work - the appointment was 8.30am) We were kept informed throughout out short wait. We were taken into our appointment to be greeted by the same staff member as our last appointment. She advised us that she was working in a different department but her first appointment was running late also due to the weather and therefore she came back to the early pregnancy unit to complete our scan to save us waiting.

Again she had a great bedside manner, showed compassion and empathy - it made total sense to use when she said she was part of the honeysuckle bereavement team. I know I cannot name her on here but she was great and made a very difficult experience a lot easier to deal with. Thank you, and we hope to see in in the future in more positive circumstances
