I was admitted on the 23 Mar 18 and discharged on the 28 Mar having had the above procedure. My experience throughout has been exceptional, repeating experiences received during the 9 months since being diagnosed with bladder cancer. Post op on the 23rd was in surgical high care where both day and night staff ensured I was cared for, pain management was excellent and the whole culture was one of support including involvement of me. This was also part of theEnhanced Recovery Programme, to get me mobile soonest: this worked well. The daily Consultant led rounds were very inclusive, positive and gave me enormous confidence regarding movement, STOMA management. Moved to D3 where equally well cared for, although obviously less staff, helped that I was mobile. Now at home for next phase of recovery. Thank you all so, so much for my new beginning. Warmest Regards Colin Welborn.
