"Birth of my first child"

My first child was born here 31/03/2018. I wanted to write this review as I was so impressed with all the maternity staff. Everybody we dealt with was fantastic and I can’t thank them enough from the bottom of my heart for making the whole experience as easy as a childbirth can be. My wife spent a week in ward 21 as she had initially gone in with a minor issue but as she was pregnant she was advised to get checked out. This after a week led to her being induced and having the baby a month early. The staff were fantastic and supportive throughout. Unfortunately I can’t give names but there a few who really went the extra mile. I was very impressed with the recently refurbished labour ward. She was then moved to ward 22 for monitoring as baby was early and had a few complications during birth which were dealt with very quickly and I felt confident in what was being done. Mood of staff was upbeat considering they were working a bank holiday weekend. The food was also good as my wife was having 3 meals a day with a good variety on the menu. I would recommend this hospital to anybody and don’t know how I could thank the staff enough for what they did for me and continue to do. I will never forget the experience as I was nervous but my expectations were hugely exceeded.
