After the initial horrors of admission, which i have learned from other unfortunates is not uncommon, i had the small op which should have been straightforward.
Alas all this time on (11 months) and i still have the hernia, as confirmed by further ultrasounds.
I genuinely feel our on the ground nurses are being severly undermined and placed in impossible situations by the complete overload of administrative staff. My own mother spent her working life as a nurse, during the war she was a factory nurse, so she knew what hard work meant. Today, I feel, our beautiful nurses are victims of years of neglect.
Bring back real Matrons and sisters, staff nurses that we all recognise, not faceless people filling paperwork all shift. Very frustrated and angry.
