I read a story posted on here by a lady who went to LGI with pains while she was pregnant and nothing was done. The exact same thing happened to me.
I went in with really bad pains and felt patronised by the nurse that first saw me, asking was this my first baby and saying these things are normal. We then waited about four hours to see a doctor and then when we asked how long we were gonna be they keep putting us on the bottom of the list as more 'important' patients kept coming in.
After another hour my husband and I left as it was 1am. The nurse had made me feel that we were wasting their time being here with my 'first time pregnancy worries' and obviously the lack of urgency to see me showed that. The same nurse also told me they had no ultrasound machines at LGI and I would have had to wait for the Early Prengnacy Unit to open in the morning anyway.
Needless to say I lost that baby. I found out after paying for a private scan at Leeds Screening Centre where the staff were wonderful. They told me the baby's heart had stopped beating.
I know nothing can be done, if you are going to lose a baby early on then you do, but the lack of help and compassion I feel I received was horrible at LGI A and E.
