"kidney removal"

About: Kent & Canterbury Hospital / Urology

I had my right hand kidney removed on 19/2/18, my urology consultant explained that a tumour was found in the kidney and possible cancer was present, I could not have wished for a better consultant, everything was explained to me in great detail from the anesthetic through to the aftercare, I was treated with the greatest respect by all involved throughout my time in the hospital, it was later found that the tumour had a low grade cancer and this too was explained to me in depth, I had robotic surgery which I found left me with only a few scars and I was discharged within a couple of days, considering the scale of the operation the whole experience was quite frankly brilliant especially as everything was explained so thoroughly that it calmed me down from my initial nervousness.

At this point I would like to sat Thank you very much NHS
