"Devon Acces & Referral Team"

About: Devon Access and Referral Team (DART)

(as the patient),

Phone answered quickly but the process took far too long to get to the appointment stage. The appointments offered were either 6 weeks or 8 weeks away which is far too long to wait for an infection.

Now have to go back to GP to check that it is OK to wait this long and that the condition isn't getting worse in the meantime.

Dear ‘Country Member’,

Thank you for taking the time to feed back to us about your experience, and I’m sorry that it has not been a good one.

I’m sorry if it took a long time for us to process your referral, we do try to do this as quickly as possible, however there are quite a lot of details that we have to check as we go through the booking system to make sure that we are booking into the correct service and this can take a few minutes.

Regarding the waiting time at the hospital, this is not something we can influence but I know that all of the hospitals in the area try to keep their waiting times as low as possible and will be working hard to see patients as quickly as possible.

Kind regards,

Susan
